No matter how crazy your days get, make sure you carve out and ruthlessly protect just 90 minutes—20% of an eight-hour day—for your most important tasks. Even if you squander the remaining 80% of the day, you can still make great progress if you have spent 90 minutes on your goals or priorities. (90 minutes is 3 thirty minute blocks of time- if splitting it up makes it easier to wrap your head around.)That means you dedicated 30 minutes a day to food prep, 30 minutes a day to exercise and 30 minutes a day for another self improvement activity like reading to learn, yoga, weight training, even getting more sleep. This simple delegation of time would make a significant difference over the course of six weeks, and a HUGE difference in a year… let alone 5 years!
